Who uses the SPOT Model for Risk Assessment?

I'm currently investigating using the Simple Property-Oriented Threat (SPOT) Model for risk assessing our repository content and I'd like to know if anyone else is using it in practice?

Two example organisations (Statistics New Zealand and the Florida Digital Archive are including in the D-Lib article), but I'd like to know if anyone else has attempted to use SPOT since 2012. Good and negative experiences welcome!

What should be in a digital preservation strategic plan?

The Trusted Digital Repository Standard requires the creation of a Preservation Strategic Plan. It spesificly requires planning for what would happen in the case of a repository going under, but it seems like there is a need for other kinds of things in that plan that aren't mentioned. So, what catigories of information should be in a digital preservation stratigic plan for an institution. Further, are there any good examples of what this document might look like?

What are the best examples of file format action plans?

The 2014 National Agenda for Digital Stewardship says organizations should be developing and sharing file format action plans. What are the best examples of plans to model these on? What features make for a good file format action plan?

What is Preservation Planning?

Preservation planning is often a term encountered across the digital preservation community. But what exactly are we talking about when referring to 'Preservation Planning'?

Assuming that 'preservation' is a whole activity and preservation planning is part of that whole, how does this one constituant part fit in with the other parts? Can preservation planning be put into a simple diagram (such as the DCC life cylce Model)?

I'm looking for a really clear definition of what preservation planning is, it's impact, and the reasons to carry these activities out.

I'm really interested to learn how do you know when you are carrying out preservation planning, and how can others - my organisation - know when I'm doing preservation planning? How can I tell if the preservation planning I’m doing is effective. What processes/activities are part of preservation planning?
